We had the most wonderful time on the weekend. We went to Larry and Gayes cabin along with their boys and Greg, Vicki and family. Good friends of Larry and Gayes joined us for Saturday nite and Sunday morning. The whole family had a blast. They went tubing, went in the paddle boat, floated around on the float board, played on the water trampoline, went kneeboarding, enjoyed Larry's birthday and went fishing as well. The sunsets were beautiful and we ate, ate, ate. The dogs had a great time as well. Larry and Gayes dog went in the boat almost everytime it went out and one of Greg and Vicki's dogs spent 7 hours on Saturday chasing a ball into the lake and then another 5 hours on Sunday. He is still sleeping I believe. Ho! Ho! Larry and Gaye hosted a wonderful time for their family and friends. I loved every minute of the time we were there.

I helped a friend finish an album for a charitable organization last nite. In 3 1/2 hours we completed 11 pages. I designed, she cut and pasted. Don't have any pictures but am quite impressed that we could get that much done. She had to have it completed by tonite.
The pages weren't real fancy but it looked good.

4 page layout I started at the beginning of the week and finished up today. Really had fun doing this one. Love the brightness of the red and white against the black.

Leanne created this project for us to do. I have it hanging in my studio, with pictures of our grandaughter on it. How cute is this.
Had a great time at the last CTMH club party. The project we made was really awesome. Kids had a great time making the project too.

I am going fancy here - my studio (scrapbooking room) is done and I love, love, love it.

Well the house is finally finished except for a bit of trim to be painted on the outside. The dining room table, chairs and china cabinet will be going in to be refinished in a couple of weeks and I am going to attempt to restain the worn spots and varathane the kitchen cupboards. As we all know the work is never really all done, but I am so happy with the results of the work that is done.

. Whoop, whoop it's really looking good.

Just got the pictures today of Jace's trip to England. He had a wonderful time. They played 6 soccer games while there and they won all of them. What a great opportunity for a kid to be able to do what they did. His coach and coach's wife are amazing people. Jace likes to tell stories of his adventures.
(1st picture) Jace (on the right) ready to kick the ball. (2nd picture) The Red Deer team (which Jace played on)
plus a team they played against.

We had a great time on our holidays. We spent time in Ottawa with our friends and their families and had such a great time.
Next we headed to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Simcoe. They took us to Niagara Falls which was a real site to see. Wilf and my brother took a cable car across the river and back but just looking at it was enough for me. We also did a lot of touring around Simcoe and area and I was amazed at the size of the houses there. They look like they belong on a plantation in southern USA. There a lot of crops grown around the area, tobacco being one of them, so there was great money back in the day. Some of the other crops are corn, cucumbers, gensing, cabbage and pumpkins. Fields for as far as the eye can see. Anyway all of it was great.

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. We are in Ottawa visiting our good friends Parviz and Gillian and their family. We went downtown Ottawa today to take in some of the festivities, but there was just too much walking and too many people for my comfort zone, so we had a really nice breakfast and got back on the bus and came home. I have been extremely tired since I have been here. We have been busy going out a lot, but I have also fallen asleep at the drop of a hat sitting in a chair. I guess the humidity, plus the heat, plus I played myself out before we came. We have had a wonderful time. Our dear friends took us out to a lovely Turkish restaurant last nite for dinner for our anniversary and tonite Parviz cooked Persian. Doesn't get any better than that. Good friends, good food. Tomorrow we go to Parliament Hill for the changing of the guards, in which their son-in-law is a key participant. We have seats on the hill to watch the ceremony. Then in the afternoon we fly to Toronto to be picked up by my brother and sister-n-law and will spend a few days there.
