I made a 42 page album with my own designed paper for Dodie. She was here as an exchange student with Jordyn. I have posted only a few of the pages. We sure enjoyed her. I miss her and hope that she is able to come back in the summer. The group did a lot of different things while she was here and I hope she has good memories of her friends she made while she was here. Jordyn and Dodie both had a sense of adventure with the photos that they took. They had a lot of fun doing photo shoots.

I haven't posted in quite a while. Can't seem to get into doing pages. These are some of the cards I made this year. Hope you enjoy. I used lots of stickles on these cards but it doesn't show up very well on the blog.

Some pages I did in a 42 page album I made for Dodie, Jordyns french exchange student. I think the girls had a lot of fun together. Dodie went home this morning. It was sad to see her go. I got very attached to her. I will post more later. This is what has kept me busy these past few weeks. I stamped and inked all of the pages. All paper started out plain white.

Jordyn and Dodie (their french exchange student) came over this afternoon and decided they wanted to do a canvas layout rather than a scrapbook page. So, we spent until nearly 10 o'clock tonite from about 2:30 this afternoon. First we went to Walmart and got the canvases and then we started work. Each girl did such a different LO. It was interesting to watch them work and see how they came to their own style. What a nice time we had. I so enjoyed spending the day with them. I don't get to do that very much anymore. They are wonderful girls. I was quite impressed with the quality of work they both did.

LO I did over the past couple of days. Couldn't get it finished, but Julie gave me some ideas which worked very well. Thanks Julie.

It's been quite a while since I have posted. But hopefully I will get some layouts done that I can put on this post. On the 21st we had a CSI scrapmania at Paper Trails and Tanya did an investigation LO. I took it home to finish and decided I would scraplift it and do my own thing. We had hand written the information at the crop and I don't like my handwriting so in the process of typing it all up, I decided to change it up a bit. Anyway, it took me a long time but I had a lot of fun with it. Actually found some relatively decent photos of myself. So I am happy with it.

I scan in old photo's and then print them on a light ecru colored card stock. Then I use chestnut brown chalk ink to edge the photos. I am surprised (in real life) how well this technique works. Better than using sepia colored ink to print them. I had taken a photo of my mom's family in to a professional photographer to have printed up. I asked them to be as close to the original as possible. What I ended up with was a shiny black and white copy. So I started to experiment on my own and am extremely happy with the results.

I have been wanting to do a LO of my Mom and Dads wedding for a long time and this morning while I was going thru some paper, I found these and thought they would work very well. I am happy with the results. I documented on the back what supplies I used as well as where the wedding photos were taken. I have started doing this on all my newest layouts. Someday perhaps the information will be really useful.

Double layout using Graphic 45 Papers. Had a hard time pulling this together. I must have spent about 6 hours or more, before I finally felt like I could glue stuff on. At this rate I will be in this room forever because I have thousands of photos. Just don't really know where to start.
This is our grandaughter, grandson-in-law and our great grandaughters. Last two pages that I scrapbooked. I was given a really good idea. On the back of your scrapbook pages, put the date the photo was taken, when it was scrapped, and what materials you use. In case you want to send something in to be published, you have all the information. It is a must to send the names of products used or your layouts won't even be considered.

A couple of layouts I did last week. Great granddaughters. I did a lot of sewing and hand stitching on Ayla's and had fun with the curves on Taylors.

These are three projects that my niece and I worked on while she was here. I think they turned out great. Thanks Leanne for the idea. We scraplifted from a project that Leanne had taught. We altered it a little. We completed a 4th one which I have not taken a picture of yet. I think they are really nice.

At the lake yesterday at our kids cabin. What a great time. Beautiful weather, great company, good food and lots of relaxing time. Had a ball. Kids had a blast too.

Refinished dining room suite. I just love it. They did an awesome job. It used to be a light colored oak.

Gorgeous full rainbow after the rain on Friday nite. Sure don't see those very often

First page is from a make and take at JSI, second page I created on my own. I think I am finally back in the groove. I hope so anyway. It sure felt good to do a few pages again.

At the Lake a couple of weekends ago.

My new passion. Purses and boxes. I have had a lot of fun doing these. 35 altogether, but now I think its time I got back to doing some scrapbook pages. That is what I am going to try and do today. Some of those fun photos from the lake last weekend.

We had the most wonderful time on the weekend. We went to Larry and Gayes cabin along with their boys and Greg, Vicki and family. Good friends of Larry and Gayes joined us for Saturday nite and Sunday morning. The whole family had a blast. They went tubing, went in the paddle boat, floated around on the float board, played on the water trampoline, went kneeboarding, enjoyed Larry's birthday and went fishing as well. The sunsets were beautiful and we ate, ate, ate. The dogs had a great time as well. Larry and Gayes dog went in the boat almost everytime it went out and one of Greg and Vicki's dogs spent 7 hours on Saturday chasing a ball into the lake and then another 5 hours on Sunday. He is still sleeping I believe. Ho! Ho! Larry and Gaye hosted a wonderful time for their family and friends. I loved every minute of the time we were there.
